Musical Drawings
I like it when my drawing muse is visiting… When a refrain in a song catches my imagination, or a melody inspires wild images that are just itching to appear on paper. It’s such a high to be able to make your vision to appear in a pretty solid form for everybody to see!
I get really excited about things I happen to like. I listen to the same music over and over again, until one day I finally “have enough” and switch to something else. Moreover, quite often, musical instruments weasel their way into the artwork itself. So, these two pieces of artwork that I’m going to show you both came from exactly that – Obsessive/compulsive musical addictions ![]()
Take This Waltz by Leonard Cohen (based on lyrics by Federico Garcia Lorca):
Now in Vienna there’s ten pretty women
“There’s a shoulder where death comes to cry
There’s a lobby with nine hundred windows
There’s a tree where the doves go to die…”

White Demon by the Killers from the New Moon Original Soundtrack:
“…White demon love song down the hall
White demon shadow on the road
Back up your mind, there is a call
He hears it coming after all of this time
She likes the way he sings
White demon love songs in her dreams
White demon, where’s your selfish kiss?..”
