In the Eye of the Beholder
Let me show you my new New Moon themed picture and the inspiration behind.
Actually it’s sort of 2 pictures… or maybe one, I haven’t decided yet. In any case. The inspiration came roaring at me in the form of the latest NM commercial in which for a few seconds we can see Bella’s reflection in Jacob’s (in his wolf-form) eye.
Now, I remember distinctly in the book, when Bella first encounters the wolf pack while being threatened by blood-thirsty Laurent, she thinks eyes of one of the wolfs look oddly familiar to her. So, I decided to re-create this “reflection”, which is really Bella through the eyes of her best friend, protector and also an admirer. While I was doing it, I realized that it would be really cool to make another “snapshot” of Bella, but this time through Edward’s eye, when Bella is running towards him in Volterra.
So, now I have 2 completely different eyes, reflecting 2 kind of crucial moments in the NM. Bella being saved by Jacob & the Wolf Pack and Bella saving Edward from… well, himself. They are very detailed, with little grass and rocks visible in the Meadow, and tiny flags flying over the pretty square in Volterra. I spent a lot of time drawing every single hair in Edward’s famous “sculpted” eyebrows and Jacob’s “shaggy” fur 
I would really like to hear what you guys thing about this drawing. Which one do you like better? B&W or color? I also tried to add tiny metallic details to the B&W print. Cool silver for the Edward and warm gold for Jacob, of course
